This was the first part of my final honours project. My aim for this project is to convey my personal experience with Dyslexia by depicting visual distress. I want to express what I and others can see when looking at words and letters, focusing on how they become distorted and break down to make new shapes and patterns. I will then translate these fabrics into large-scale cushions, wall hangings, or soft chairs to be featured in family living spaces.

Brand Inspiration
Brand Inspiration
I took inspiration from artists like Paul Cox, who creates his alphabet as symbols and Vasty's Landscape typeface series as it involves hidden letters. In terms of brand and lifestyle inspiration, I found IKEA's shared family space concepts gave me an idea of what is on the market for soft interior furnishings.
